Full Review
The Onix Dura Fast 40 is the other heavyweight in the outdoor ball conversation. If you’ve played in any organized outdoor pickleball, you’ve almost certainly played with these. They’re a slightly different beast from the X-40, and player preference often comes down to playstyle.
Build & Quality
The Dura Fast 40 uses a seamless one-piece construction that’s marginally harder than the Franklin X-40. The 40-hole pattern is precisely drilled for aerodynamic consistency. Available in the standard optic yellow as well as neon green for high-visibility play.
Performance
These balls play fast. The harder plastic translates to quicker rallies and more pace on drives. Bounce is consistent and predictable, though slightly higher than the X-40. Wind resistance is comparable to other outdoor balls. The sound off the paddle is a sharper crack that carries well for spectators.
The Verdict
If you prefer a faster game with more pace, the Dura Fast 40 is your ball. A tournament standard for good reason.
